Lava Rock was made on a level 1 canvas with a blend of different reds, oranges and yellows that all come together to imitate the flow of lava. These extreme pops of colors against a Mars Black base definitely comes off striking to the eye especially with the white marble design to mimic the smoke that comes from the eruptions of a volcano. It was the perfect additive to this piece, It fills the empty spaces without overcrowding the work and still allowing the red detailing to be the main focus of this piece.
